Creamy Garlic Mushrooms and Bacon

Creamy Garlic Mushrooms and Bacon
Ingredients
8 slices bacon, chopped
1 lb (450 g) button or cremini mushrooms, sliced
3 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely diced (optional)
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the pan.
Add the butter to the skillet. Stir in the mushrooms and onion (if using) and cook for 6–8 minutes, until the mushrooms are browned and tender.
Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Bring to a gentle simmer.
Add the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
Return the bacon to the skillet and cook for another 2–3 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
