Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Chicken
Tender, juicy chicken cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce that’s perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
Ingredients
6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or 4 chicken breasts
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and chicken broth.
Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the chicken.
Cover and cook:
Low: 5–6 hours, or
High: 2½–3½ hours, until the chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).
Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the chicken before serving.
Garnish with fresh parsley.

1 cup baby potatoes
1 cup green beans (add during the last hour of cooking)
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese stirred into the sauce before serving
