Ginger Wellness Water
Ingredients
1½-2 inches (4-5 cm) fresh ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced
4 cups (1 liter) water
Juice of ½ lemon (optional)
1-2 teaspoons honey (optional)
Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
Add the sliced ginger and reduce the heat to a gentle simmer.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Remove from the heat and let it steep for another 5 minutes.
Strain into a pitcher or mugs.
Stir in the lemon juice and honey, if desired.
Serve warm, or chill in the refrigerator and serve over ice with fresh mint.
