Fresh Cucumber Water with Lemon and Herbs
A refreshing, hydrating drink that’s perfect for hot days, parties, or a healthy everyday beverage.
Ingredients
2 medium cucumbers, peeled if the skin is thick or waxed
2–3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
¼ cup fresh herb leaves (mint, basil, or a combination)
2–3 tablespoons sugar, honey, or sweetener of your choice (adjust to taste)
1 cup cold water (for blending)
4–5 cups cold water (to dilute)
Ice cubes
Lemon slices, cucumber slices, and extra herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Wash the cucumbers well. Peel them if the skin is thick, then cut into chunks.
Add the cucumber, lemon juice, herbs, sugar, and 1 cup of cold water to a blender.
Blend until completely smooth.
For a lighter, smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
Pour the mixture into a large pitcher.
Add the remaining 4–5 cups of cold water and stir well.
Taste and adjust the sweetness or lemon juice if needed.
Add plenty of ice and chill for at least 15–30 minutes before serving.
Garnish with cucumber slices, lemon slices, and fresh herbs if desired.
Tips
For a naturally sweet version, replace the sugar with honey or a few pitted dates before blending.
Sparkling water can be used instead of still water for a fizzy twist.
Store refrigerated for up to 2 days and stir before serving.
