Golden Crab Crunch Bites

Golden Crab Crunch Bites

Delicate crab is wrapped in a crisp, herb-scented crumb that turns beautifully golden in the oven or skillet. A squeeze of lemon and warm melted butter make each bite bright, rich, and satisfying.

Ingredients :

1 lb crab meat, claw and chunk pieces

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup panko or seasoned breadcrumbs

1/4 tsp Old Bay or seafood seasoning

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tbsp chopped parsley

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Melted butter or dip, for serving

Oil, if frying

How to Make It:

  1. Dry the Crab Carefully

Lay the crab pieces on paper towels and pat them dry without breaking them apart. Removing surface moisture helps the coating stay crisp.

  1. Season the Crumb

Combine the panko, seafood seasoning, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and black pepper in a shallow dish. Place the beaten egg in a second dish for easy breading.

  1. Coat Each Piece

Dip the crab gently into the egg, allowing the excess to fall away. Roll each piece in the seasoned crumbs and press lightly so the coating adheres.

  1. Crisp to a Golden Finish

For baking, arrange the pieces on a parchment-lined tray, drizzle lightly with oil, and bake at 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes. For frying, cook in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes per side until crisp and golden.

  1. Serve While Warm

Transfer the crab bites to a serving plate and add lemon wedges. Offer melted butter or a preferred tangy dip alongside.
