Honey Garlic Baked Chicken Breasts

🍯🧄 Honey Garlic Baked Chicken Breasts

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes, optional
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Heat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Prepare the chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry. If they are very thick, gently pound them to an even thickness so they cook evenly.
  3. Season: Rub the chicken with olive oil, paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Make the glaze: In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Coat the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish and pour the honey-garlic sauce over them, turning the chicken to coat.
  6. Bake: Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chicken. Spoon the sauce over the chicken halfway through cooking.
  7. Check doneness: Chicken is ready when the thickest part reaches 165°F (74°C) on an instant-read thermometer.
  8. Rest: Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  9. Serve: Spoon the pan juices over the chicken and garnish with fresh parsley and sesame seeds if desired.

  • Roasted carrots

⭐ Tip

For extra caramelization, switch the oven to broil for 1–2 minutes at the end, watching closely so the honey glaze doesn’t burn.
