🍯🧄 Honey Garlic Baked Chicken Breasts
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes, optional
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Heat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Prepare the chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry. If they are very thick, gently pound them to an even thickness so they cook evenly.
- Season: Rub the chicken with olive oil, paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Make the glaze: In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Coat the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish and pour the honey-garlic sauce over them, turning the chicken to coat.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chicken. Spoon the sauce over the chicken halfway through cooking.
- Check doneness: Chicken is ready when the thickest part reaches 165°F (74°C) on an instant-read thermometer.
- Rest: Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve: Spoon the pan juices over the chicken and garnish with fresh parsley and sesame seeds if desired.

⭐ Tip
For extra caramelization, switch the oven to broil for 1–2 minutes at the end, watching closely so the honey glaze doesn’t burn.
