Air Fryer Poached Eggs

Air Fryer Poached Eggs
Perfectly cooked poached eggs with soft whites and a runny yolk—made easily in the air fryer.
Ingredients
2 large eggs
2 small oven-safe ramekins or silicone cups
2–3 tablespoons hot water per ramekin
½ teaspoon butter or cooking spray (optional, for greasing)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Chopped chives or parsley (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3–5 minutes.
Lightly grease two ramekins if desired.
Pour 2–3 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin.
Crack one egg into each ramekin, being careful not to break the yolk.
Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
Air fry for:
5–6 minutes for a very runny yolk
6–7 minutes for a slightly firmer yolk
7–8 minutes for a jammy yolk
Carefully remove the ramekins with tongs or oven mitts.
Lift the eggs out gently with a slotted spoon and blot the bottom on a paper towel to remove excess water.
Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs if desired.
Serving Ideas
On buttered toast or sourdough
Over avocado toast
On an English muffin with smoked salmon
With sautéed spinach or roasted vegetables
On top of a fresh salad or grain bowl
Tips
Cooking time may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model and the size of the eggs.
Use hot water rather than cold for more even cooking.
Check the eggs after 5 minutes to avoid overcooking.
