Dill Pickle Grilled Cheese Delight
A crispy, buttery grilled cheese loaded with sharp cheddar, gooey mozzarella, and tangy dill pickles—perfect for lunch or a comforting snack.
Ingredients
4 slices sourdough or country bread
2 tablespoons softened butter
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
2 slices mozzarella cheese
8–10 dill pickle slices, patted dry
½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
½ teaspoon dried dill or 1 teaspoon fresh chopped dill (optional)
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Pat the pickle slices dry with paper towels to prevent the sandwich from becoming soggy.
Spread the softened butter evenly over one side of each bread slice.
Place two slices of bread, buttered-side down, in a cold skillet.
Layer each sandwich with:
2 slices cheddar cheese
1 slice mozzarella
4–5 dill pickle slices
A pinch of garlic powder, dried dill, and black pepper (if using)
Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered-side up.
Heat the skillet over medium-low heat.
Cook for 3–5 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and crisp and the cheese is completely melted.
Let the sandwiches rest for 1 minute before slicing in half.
