Slow Cooker 5-Ingredient Amish Chicken & Noodles

Slow Cooker 5-Ingredient Amish Chicken & Noodles
This comforting Amish-inspired meal is creamy, hearty, and perfect for busy days.
Ingredients
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 (10.5-ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1 (24-ounce) package frozen Amish-style egg noodles
2 tablespoons butter
Optional for serving:
Chopped fresh parsley
Black pepper to taste
Instructions
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Pour the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth over the chicken. Stir gently to combine.
Cover and cook on Low for 6–7 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
Remove the chicken and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
Stir in the butter and frozen Amish egg noodles.
Cover and cook on High for 30–45 minutes, stirring once or twice, until the noodles are tender and have absorbed some of the broth.
Taste and season with black pepper if desired. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Tips
If the noodles absorb too much liquid, stir in an extra ½–1 cup of warm chicken broth.
For a richer dish, add ½ cup sour cream or 4 ounces of softened cream cheese during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
Serve with buttery dinner rolls, biscuits, or a simple green salad.
