Blueberry Lemonade Fruit Infusion

Blueberry Lemonade Fruit Infusion 🍋🫐
A beautiful, refreshing blueberry-lemon drink with a gorgeous natural purple-and-yellow swirl!
Ingredients
2 cups fresh blueberries
2 large lemons, thinly sliced
1 cup fresh lemon juice
4 cups cold water
½–¾ cup granulated sugar, to taste
1 cup cold sparkling water or lemon-lime soda
1–2 cups ice
Extra blueberries and lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions
Make the blueberry mixture: Add blueberries, ½ cup water, and 2 tablespoons of the sugar to a saucepan. Simmer over medium-low heat for 5–7 minutes, gently crushing the berries as they soften.
Remove from heat and let cool for about 10 minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing the berries to extract as much juice as possible.
Make the lemonade: In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice, remaining water, and the rest of the sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Stir in the cooled blueberry syrup.
Add lemon slices and blueberries, then chill for at least 1 hour.
Just before serving, add ice and sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.
Pour into glasses and garnish with fresh blueberries and lemon slices.
Tip: For the layered look in the photo, pour the blueberry syrup into the bottom of each glass, add ice, then slowly pour the lemonade over the back of a spoon. 🫐🍋
